Elyson de Dios

Mathhew Elyson Sy de Dios (born May 1, 1999) also known as Elyson de Dios is a Filipino actor who is known for being the First Prince in the sixth season of the artista-based reality competition program StarStruck.

Now a contract star of GMA Network under GMA Artist Center, he is currently portraying the role of Edison Villon along with his on-screen partner Ayra Mariano in the 2016 comedy-drama series Poor Señorita.

Early life

Elyson de Dios was born in Cebu City and was raised in Liloan, Cebu. His father hails from Carmen, Cebu. He is of Spanish-Filipino and Chinese-Filipino descent. Elyson is the only boy with 2 sisters. He was a varsity player and a student at University of Southern Philippines Foundation in Cebu City before he joined Starstruck, a reality talent competition created by GMA Network.

Career

StarStruck (Philippine TV series)

Unlike his fellow contestants who have always wanted to make it into show business, Elyson joined StarStruck 6 as a favor to his mother who told him that opportunity only knocks once. Although it wasn't his plan to join, he admitted that he eventually fell in love with what he was doing in the show. He was considered an "underdog" for he was the only one with zero experience in acting, dancing and singing. Despite the shortfalls, he somehow met-up with the mentors and directors's expectations. With his charming qualities and honed-skills, he was able to make it to the Final 4 with Ayra Mariano, Klea Pineda, Migo Adecer. He is the First Prince in the sixth season of StarStruck.

Modeling

Elyson is currently one of the endorsers of Urban Generation alongside his on-screen partner, Ayra Mariano and Zona Mejia.
