Eloqua Corp. is a marketing automation SaaS company which develops automated marketing and demand generation software and services for business-to-business marketers to improve the quality and quantity of customers' sales leads and streamline their sales processes. Eloqua was founded in Toronto, Canada in 1999 by Mark Organ, Steven Woods and Abe Wagner. The company is recognized as a pioneer and industry leader in lead generation services.

History

Eloqua was founded in a Toronto apartment in 1999 to provide improved lead generation and demand management services by combining web analytics, direct mail, e-mail and instant messaging solutions to marketing firms. The firm achieved profitability in the fourth quarter of 2003 and closed its first round of venture funding and went on to secure $41 million in venture capital by October 2007, with its Series C funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners. As of January of 2010, the company's software has 35,000 users. Eloqua provides continual software upgrades, including those incorporated into its Eloqua Conversion Suite in 2008, accelerating and enhancing the program's integration capabilities.

Eloqua has more than 700 clients worldwide, among them Comcast, Apple Inc., and NBA franchises including the Miami Heat and the Portland Trail Blazers. Eloqua has received several awards including being named a Market Leader by CRM Magazine in both 2008 and 2009. In 2009, the company also received a Forrester Groundswell Award in the "Business-to-Business Talking" category for its sales tool "The Conversation". SearchCRM selected Eloqua's Conversion Suite as its 2007 Marketing Automation Product of the Year.

The company is headquartered outside Washington, D.C. with offices in Boston, Austin, the Silicon Valley, and outside the United States in Toronto, London and Singapore.
