Elínrós Líndal

Elínrós Líndal is an entrepreneur in Fashion design. She established ELLA fashion label in 2008, one of the first Slow Fashion brands in the world. Elinrós was the brands creative director and CEO. ELLA launched] it´s first fashion line in April 2011.

Elinros holds a BA degree in Psychology and Mass Communication and an MBA from the University of Reykjavik. Elinros also studied classical ballet for 10 years at the National Theater of Iceland (Þjóðleikhúsið / Listdansskóli Íslands). And studied piano lessons for 7 years.

She has worked as a journalist and editor of Málið for Iceland Morning Paper (Morgunblaðið). Prior to establishing ELLA Elinros worked in fashion and worked for UN Women to raise money to end violence against women.

Elinros Lindal made several fashion lines, accessories and perfumes for ELLA. But the company was closed due to bankruptcies in year 2015.

The brand got international recognition for it´s business model and quite a good media coverage for a young fashion brand in Iceland. Author Jo Piazza did several interviews and coverage about the brand as well as Vogue Italia, The New York Post and other known magazines.

Elinros Lindal was elected Young Global Leader for the World Economic Forum in 2013 for her work in ELLA.

ELLA fashion line stopped due to financial issues, the demand for the brand is still much especially for the perfumes who were selling very well.
