Ellen McKinney
Ellen McKinney is a Canadian-born actress, TV host and singer/songwriter. She was raised in Saint John, New Brunswick and now resides in Toronto, Ontario. Upon graduating from high school, Ellen went to Montreal as a scholarship student at McGill University where she where she earned a bachelor of music degree in voice performance (opera). Her current MusicAL style is a combination of jazz and pop. She has written music for TV, radio and the theatre. Acting credits include: "Popcultured" (Comedy Network), "Fresh and Wild" (Food Network Canada/UKTV), "Blobheads" (CBC), and "5th Quadrant" (Comedy Network/Space). Regional musical theatre credits include roles in such productions as "Assassins", "Little Shop of Horrors", "Hello Dolly", and "Godspell". She performed in the Canadian premiere of "Go-Go Beach" and can be heard on the original cast soundtrack of "Somewhere in the World..." produced by The Charlottetown Festival.
