Elise V. Harris

Elise Harris is a British comedienne, writer and filmmaker, born in Pontypool, Wales and based in Peckham, South London. She was cited as one of London's star vloggers in the Evening Standard in 2007. Her short film "Vestal Virgin" was a SuperShorts winner. She has a background in journalism and was an editor at What Satellite and Digital TV magazine before concentrating on performing.

Her radio work includes being the "Voice of the City" for BBC Radio 4's City of the Saved and presenting the news for Swansea Sound and Valleys Radio; she also presented Radio Peckham's Undertow.

Since 2006, Harris has appeared at the Edinburgh Festival as sketch player, stand-up, MC and storyteller, as well as filing video reports from the festival via her popular YouTube page. (18th all-time most-subscribed UK comedian on YouTube as of 4 May 2008.) She frequently served as substitute host of Andrew J. Lederer's Anthology storytelling comedy show at the Green Room venue during the 2007 festival.

In 2008, along with nine other notable video bloggers, Harris participated in the multi-platform relaunch of BBC Three as a member of the winning YouStage team on the programme Upstaged. She will appear in Lee Akehurst's upcoming thriller Dark Rage.
