Elementary (musician)

Elementary is an American hip-hop & alternative hip-hop producer from New Jersey. He is currently based in Brooklyn, New York.

Life and career

First signed to a Def Jam/UMG imprint label On Top in 2003, El made a name for himself producing tracks for a variety of up-and-coming rappers such as Gravy & Maino, as well as a select few more well-known names including Lil' Mo, Fabolous, & Red Café. Between 2003-2005, he co-produced Joe Budden's self-titled debut album as well as Rev Run's debut solo album, Distortion, with the Whiteboyz Noize squad.

In 2010, using the name Jumpshot, El began producing a wide range of electronic music including drum & bass & dubstep. Caught square amidst trap music crossing over to electronic, and with a hunger for something new and exciting, El turned back to his roots and began taking a fresh approach to hip-hop. As of August 2014, he's working on a solo instrumental EP and some other top secret goodies.
