EFAF Atlantic Cup

The EFAF Atlantic Cup is an international competition for European American Football clubs. The EFAF Atlantic Cup is the third highest level of club competition in the European Federation of American Football (EFAF), behind the European Football League (EFL) and the EFAF Cup.

EFAF Atlantic Cup

Organised by EFAF, this competition is comparable to football's Intertoto Cup. Participants are representatives of the "smaller" American Football nations from western Europe.

EFAF Atlantic Cup 2009

The Atlantic Cup was introduced by EFAF in 2009, and was held in Brussels the weekend of June 26-28. The tournament took place at Centre Sportif, Rue des Chalets 1, Berchem-Sainte-Agathe. The game field is made of artificial turf (4th generation). The Dublin Rebels were the first Irish team to compete in an EFAF tournament. The Dublin Celts and Craigavon Cowboys competed in the EuroBowl in the late 1980s/early 1990s when it was run by EFAF's predecessor, the EFL.

EFAF Atlantic Cup 2010

The 2010 tournament was held in Dublin to coincide with Dublin City being the European Capital of Sport in 2010. The semi-finals take place on the 26th of June with the final and third place play-off on 27 June. The 2010 tournament saw the return of the Dudelange Dragons of Luxembourg to face of against Irelands UL Vikings, the Brussels Bull of Belgium and the Lelystad Commanders of the Netherlands. The tournament was played at the University College, Dublin(UCD).
