eChineseLearning is an online Chinese language school.

History

eChineseLearning was established on February 2006 by Fred Rao who earned his M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business, and an engineering degree from Ohio State University. As a child of educators, and a native of Beijing living in the United States for many years, he identified a worldwide market need for high quality online Chinese language education. For this reason, he led language development programs and taught Chinese in the United States, serving as Co-Founder and Director of the Colorado Springs Chinese Cultural Institute. In 2006 Fred founded eChineseLearning which provides systematic, customized, one-on-one Chinese instruction services to students of all ages and walks of life. Now Over 1000 students all over the world have participated in eChineseLearning programs worldwide from age 4 to 75, and the student base is growing rapidly.

Management team and teachers

eChineseLearning management team consists of individuals with experience in Chinese language instruction from universities such as Stanford University, Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Beijing Foreign Studies University.

Features

The idea of "Individualized Instruction (Ⅱ)" emphasizes not only the facilitation of learners to learn better by incorporating different ways to create various language learning experiences, but also how teachers can prepare and design their Chinese lessons better. By analyzing the needs and characteristics of learners, teachers design the most suitable teaching method for each individual, including design of scenarios, study tasks, and supplementary learning resources etc
