EASB East Asia Institute of Management

EASB East Asia Institute of Management (Chinese: 东亚管理学院), is established in 1984. Housed in two campuses located centrally in Henderson and Balestier, the private institution is an institute of higher learning catering the growing demand of overseas universities education within Singapore. EASB has a range of higher learning and professional development programmes. EASB is a Singapore Quality Class (SQC) and EduTrust Awarded Private Education Organisation registered with the Ministry of Education of Singapore.

The Campus is located at Ah Hood Road, Singapore.

Balestier Campus

Unlike many other Private Universities in Singapore which base their operations in the Central Business District, facilities in Balestier campus are similar to those found at Campus Universities in Britain. It has a tennis and three basketball courts, a gymnasium, a fully-equipped library and close to 60 classrooms. The University has currently leased the grounds for a 15-year period, estimated to cost S$38 million in rent in total.

Henderson Campus

EASB’s first campus opened in 2004, occupying a land area of about 8,000 sqm with more than 15,000 sqm of built-up area. Located in 98 Henderson Road, Singapore 159543, it has close proximity to Food centers in Bukit Merah Town Council, Convenience stores, automated teller machines (ATM) and is within walking distance from bus-stop, a 10-15 minutes walking distance to Redhill Mrt station. Facilities includes 17 classrooms & lecture theatres, fully equipped with multimedia learning technology, computer laboratory, language laboratory, learning centre, library, canteen and basketball court.

History

East Asia Institute of Management setting up of the Queen Margaret University, Asia Campus in May this year at the East Asia Institute of Management’s Balestier campus and the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff: Asia Campus in Singapore. This being the 1st and 2nd UK universities to set up branch campuses in Singapore.

Achievements

EASB attained the Singapore Quality Class (SQC) Private Education Organizations (PEO) award in 2003. Subsequently in 2008, EASB was registered for Enhanced Registration Framework (ERF) with the Council of Private Education (CPE) and awarded 4 years Edutrust Certification. In 2010, it was awarded SME Growth Excellence for the Most Promising Enterprise for 2nd year in a row in recognition of consistent and stable financial performance.

University partners include Queen Margaret University, University of Wales Institute, Cardiff, Edinburgh Business School and University of Southern Queensland
