Early Stage Venture Capital Alliance

The Early Stage Venture Capital Alliance (ESVCA) is an organization of early stage venture firms based in Silicon Valley. The group emerged in the late 1980s out of an annual meeting of VC and Buyout fund managers organized by a large institutional investor. Since 1990, the ESVCA has been chaired by Woodside Fund.

The ESVCA's primary annual event is its annual conference, which takes place every summer. The conference is a closed door roundtable of general partners and managing directors from early stage funds. By excluding press and entrepreneurs, the roundtable fosters an open discussion of the biggest challenges and opportunities in the industry.

In recent years, the organization has also hosted an annual golf tournament, as well as occasional networking events.
