E-Learning in North England
E-Learning is used widely across Northumberland schools. This can be used in schools for extra resources in lessons, or for homework tasks.
VTLE
Virtual Learning and Teaching Environments are used in the Northumberland and Tyne & Wear area of North England. This supports e-learning in schools and is used regularly for homework. The community of sites consists of the Newcastle, Gateshead, and Northumberland VTLE. These VTLEs will normally contain articles, files and applications added by members of the school's staff. However, these are limited to a single school. There is also normally a personal messaging systemNorthumberland Virtual Learning & Teaching Environment Information, http://ngfl.northumberland.gov.uk/nortleinfoweb/tour.html, Correct as of 27 Nov, 2008
. This feature can normally be viewed by teachers, to take evidence. This works alongside the sets, where students can add to teaching and learning groups.
Same Access
All these websites can be used to access another website. For example, a student going to Cramlington Learning Village, who would normally access Northumberland VTLE, could login to Newcastle VTLE.Also you can chat with classmates in your class with VTLE
