Dysfigure

Dysfigure is a hardcore metal band from Berkeley County, West Virginia, formed in 2003.

Dysfigure is a flagship artist on the Syphrus Music label. The band gained a following by maintaining independence and self-sufficiency, producing and distributing their own studio recordings and overseeing their own merchandise and management operations. The band has released all of their recordings through the Syphrus Music label.

The band is comprised of guitarist Danny O'Dell, bassist Jason Carr, drummer and back-up vocalist A.J. Anderson, and vocalist Scott Magruder.

In September 2006, Dysfigure finished recording tracks for their debut album, due for an early 2007 release. The band also gained several endorsement deals and began touring the East Coast/Mid-Atlantic region. The band released a 3-song sampler from The New album on December 30, 2006 at a New Year's Weekend show at Cookies in Martinsburg, West Virginia. The Release of that e.p. also led to several opportunities for independent film soundtrack licensing, such as for the upcoming independent film Some Dark Hollow. Dysfigure's full-length debut album In the Shadows of Deception was released in July 2007. The band marked the occasion by playing two cd release shows in two different states - on July 7 at the Bluestone Tavern in LaVale, MD, and a hometown show on July 20 at Cookies in Martinsburg, WV. Blabbermouth.net featured an article on the dual cd release shows.
