Dulwich International College
Dulwich International College (DIC) was a co-ed boarding school on the island of Phuket Dulwich College in London discontinued its partnership with the school in 2005, after disagreements about management at Dulwich International College and after an investor, former Thai government minister Arthit Ourairat, desired more control over school operations. The school's name was short-lived, and the college's name was ultimately changed to British International School Phuket.
Personnel
In 2005 a dispute between the schools management and its owners resulted the removal of its then headmaster, Mr. David Cook, and his replacement by Dr. Hickman. The founding head lasted only a short time and was replaced in 1997 by Christopher T J Charleson. Charleson established the school as a leading international school in Asia and built-up the school's student body to over 600. He left in September to take the headship of Sotogrande International School, Spain.
Curriculum
DIC offered Kindergarten Year 13 education, including International General Certificate of Secondary Education examinations for Years 10 and 11, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma program for years 12 and 13.
Facilities
The facility for sports in the school included, 6 tennis courts, 2 primary sized football pitches, 8 middle school sized football pitches (3 middle school pitches 1 Olympic sized pitch), an olympic-sized pool,<ref name"NYT"/> a 25 meter swimming pool and 50 meter swimming pool, an indoor gym, a primary gym, a fitness gym, and an outdoor basketball court.
