Features

DocQ provides tools for annotating, signing, sharing, & publishing PDF's. Other features include tools for filling out and creating fillable forms, as well as inserting images and deleting or rotating ranges.

Annotation & Editing

The DocQ Typewriter Tool allows text to be added to any PDF. This allows forms which have been created without fillable fields to be filled out, as well as documents which have been scanned in without OCR. Images can be uploaded, inserted and resized directly within the DocQ editor.

Available annotation tools include:

  • Typewriter tool
  • Highlighting
  • Sticky Notes
  • Hyperlinks (to other sites, or to pages within the PDF itself)
  • Drawing tools
  • Page deletion / rotation

Forms

In addition to filling out forms, DocQ features tools for creating electronically fillable forms. Supported fillable form fields include:

  • Text Fields
  • Checkboxes
  • Radio Buttons
  • List Boxes
  • Combo Boxes

By utilizing the "Submit" button, recipients of a PDF form can email a filled out PDF to the "mailto:" target specified in DocQ.

Digital Signatures

DocQ Apply Signature

DocQ features the ability to electronically sign PDF's from a compatible web browser or mobile device, with no unique software or hardware requirements. The DocQ electronic signature complies with the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act as well as the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act and is backed by the DocQ certificate authority, granting a signature through DocQ the same legal binding as a written signature on paper.

Sharing & Collaboration

After editing, PDF's can be downloaded locally and viewed from any PDF viewer. Alternatively, PDF's can be shared within DocQ, with the ability to enable or restrict annotation, download, and print permissions. This allows collaboration to take place on a single PDF, rather than on multiple versions shared between parties.

Online Storage & Document Management System

DocQ facilitates the filing & storage of documents for future reference. "Smart Tags" allow tagged PDF's to be searchable, as well as grouped and navigated by browsing the Smart Folders.

Publishing

DocQ enables documents to be securely published via a URL to the PDF hosted at DocQ. Documents can be published in both the default viewer, as well as the magazine viewer mode.

DocQ On Ramp

The DocQ On Ramp is a desktop application associated with a DocQ user account. The program is available for free, and features a PDF print driver, allowing any printable file to be made available as a PDF in DocQ. In addition, the On Ramp integrates with any TWAIN compliant scanner, making it possible to scan directly to DocQ.
