DJ OP Dot

Opeyemi Oladipupo Soidiq (born 11 October 1993), known professionally as DJ OP Dot, is a Nigerian disc jockey, record producer and recording artist.

Early life and education

Opeyemi Oladipupo Soidiq was born on 11 October 1993 in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, Nigeria. He grew up in Ijebu Ode, where he developed an interest in music and disc jockeying. He studied Electrical Installation at college of Education, Ogun.

Career

OP Dot began his professional career as a disc jockey in 2009. His work later expanded to include music production and recording as an artist. His MusicAL influences are, American DJ and record producer DJ Khaled, while also identifying Nigerian DJs DJ Spinall and DJ Neptune.

In 2021, Opeyemi established DJ OP Dot Music Ent. Ltd., an entertainment company, He began releasing recorded music as an artist alongside his work as a DJ and producer. In 2022, he released "Gbemidebe", featuring Nigerian musician Qdot. The song became one of his recorded collaborations. That year, he received the DJ of the Year award at the Ijebu Vogue Awards.

In 2023, He also received recognition at the Ijebu Vogue Awards, where he was awarded Best DJ Mix with Promotions.

In 2025, he released "Believe", featuring Rybeena. The release was followed by further mixtape releases and performances.

In 2026, Soidiq released "Benjamin". The song was reported to have surpassed 600,000 streams across digital music platforms. Later that year, he received the DJ of the Year award at the Golden Star Awards.
