Direct-to-video released films based on Tom and Jerry animations
Since 2001, a series of animated made-for-video motion pictures has been made based on Tom and Jerry animations. Both, Hanna and Barbera were involved in the first direct-to-video movie then, Joseph Barbera for the second, third, fourth and fifth.
Currently, there is another new made-for-video movie either under development, in production, or awaiting release simply titled, Tom and Jerry: A Little Learning.
History
It began with The Magic Ring, in which a magical ring is stuck on Jerry's head and Tom must chase after it. Then in Blast Off to Mars, the feline and rodent stowaway on a spaceship to Mars and meets up with a gang of green aliens.
Next in The Fast and the Furry, Jerry and Tom goes to Hollywood and enters in a car race to win a fabulous mansion. Next the pair goes on a quest find treasure in Shiver Me Whiskers and in A Nutcracker Tale, the duo are in a winter wonderland of fun and danger as Jerry saves his magic kingdom from Tom and an army of cats.
Future
The Academy Award-winning cat and mouse stars will return in a brand new straight-to-video film, A Little Learning. It will be the first new Tom and Jerry production in years without any of the original creators, William Hanna and Joseph Barbera.
