Digital Studies
Digital Studies/Le champ numerique is an open access, peer reviewed online journal reporting on current scholarship in digital humanities. The journal is published by SDH/SEMI and its editors are Ray Siemens, Bill Winder, Dominic Forest, Kirsten Uszkalo and Jeff Smith.
Journal Contents
DS/CN publishes academic articles, scholarly notes, working papers, field synopses, larger reviews, and well-documented opinion pieces. Preference is given to submissions that explicitly demonstrate an awareness of interdisciplinary context(s) and the history of pertinent academic engagement in related fields.
Journal History
DS/CN was created in 2008 by SDH/SEMI under the inaugural editorship of Ray Siemens and Christian Vandendorpe, in response to a growing need for a journal specifically aimed at the digital humanities in its broadest context. As such, its mandate is intended to complement those of existing journals such as Text Technology and Literary and Linguistic Computing.
Publishing Details
DS/CN is published three times per year using the Open Journal System developed by the Public Knowledge Project.
