Diego Robledo

Diego Alberto Robledo Dominguez (born 1992) better known as Diego Robledo is a Mexican double bass player.
His earliest musical training was from age 10 starting on drums under his father´s tutelage. He took an interest in the double bass when he was attending high school; he began to study the instrument with Luis Navarro and Gerardo Ventura at the University of Sciences and Arts of Chiapas where he earned his Bachelor of Music in 2015. He obtained his Master of Music in 2018 from the Pennsylvania State University as a student of Robert Nairn and Jeremy McCoy.
Diego Robledo has been a member of the Pennsylvania Chamber Orchestra serving as principal bass during the 2017-18 season. Additionally, he has been a guest player with the Symphony Orchestra of the Croatian Radio and Television HRT. Chiapas, Nittany Valley and Altoona Symphony Orchestras.
Robledo has also been an active teacher serving as a teaching assistant (2016-2018) at the Pennsylvania State University and in the youth orchestral program called Esperanza Azteca in his native Tuxtla Gutiérrez.
He has also performed with festival orchestras including the Penns Woods festival and Bay View music festival in the USA as well as participated in various masterclasses and festivals in Europe and Mexico.
He performed as a soloist with the Baja Symphony during the IX Contrabajos de Baja California celebrated in Tijuana, Mexico.
Starting the season 2020 he will be playing with the Boca del Rio Philharmonic Orchestra located in Veracruz, Mexico.
