Devon Anthoni Ringi
Devon Anthoni Ringi (born February 7, 1999), known professionally as Ringi, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter focused on trap music. He released his first song, Automatic, in 2022.
Early life and education
Devon Anthoni Ringi was born on February 7, 1999, In Las Vegas, Nevada. At early age Ringi moved around a lot due to his mother being in the military, and also lived with his grandparents during his mother’s deployment to Iraq.<ref name":0" /><ref name":1" />
Growing up in Compton, California, he was getting into much trouble being expelled and dealing with altercations from associates. Over years of more movement Ringi thus graduated from Collins Hill High School, in Lawrenceville Suwanee, Georgia.<ref name":0" /><ref name":1" />
Being a college dropout, he moved back to Las Vegas, Nevada, to care for his grandmother after his grandfather’s passing.<ref name":0" /><ref name":1" />
Career
Ringi found his engineer Kenechi D Ubani, during this early time and began to create and master his sound. Producing and creating countless EP’s and songs Ringi didn’t distribute or let any music be heard until 2020, when he made his first demo, Explicit.<ref name":0" /><ref name":1" />
The unreleased project was promoted and performed nationwide at monumental clubs like King of Diamonds in Atlanta, Georgia. With major producers like Richie Souf on his demo, he created songs like Stay High, which gained heavy traction.<ref name":0" /><ref name":1" />
Ringi released his first debut single, Automatic. The single was supposed to be on his demo Explicit, but he decided to distribute it on all platforms for Pour Records. He did this independently underneath his label with visuals and performances as an artist.<ref name":0" /><ref name":1" /> Having his engineer Kenechi D Ubani on the production, he also includes him in visuals.
