Denis Bilodeau

Denis R. Bilodeau, is an engineer and politician from the U.S. State of California. Bilodeau, a Republican and is currently a Councilmember in the City of Orange, California and serves as a Director of the Orange County Water District.

Born in Los Angeles County, Bilodeau earned his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Irvine in 1991. He holds a license to practice Civil Engineering and Traffic Engineering in the State of California.

Election history

Denis Bilodeau first ran for a seat as a Director on the Orange County Water District in November, 2000. He narrowly defeated John Fonley, a twenty five year incumbent, garnering 52.6% of the votes cast. Bilodeau went unchallenged in his bid for re-election in 2004. In 2008, he was challenged by Villa Park resident Bill Nelson, but defeated him while garnering 71.8% of the vote.
In November 2004, Bilodeau unsuccessfully ran for the seat on the Orange City Council. He was defeated by Jon Dumitru and Tita Smith. Bilodeau made a second run in November, 2006 and was successful. He placed second in a field of eleven candidatesin a race for two open seats.
