Delirion
Delirion is a Spanish melodic power metal band formed in lately 2003, in Alicante.
Story
Just after forming the band they started composing their first songs and recorded the "Demo 2005" which got a good response by webzines and fans, lately they start to play concerts in Alicante, villages around and Valencia.
In 2006 the singer Ruben Picazo left the band to focusing on other projects and Christopher Ripoll was the chosen as new singer just two days before the first recording sessions. At that time the band started the recording of their debut album at Fireworks Studios in Valencia with the producer Fernando Asensi (Forever Slave, Opera Magna, Cain's Destiny...).
Afterwards Delirion signed a license agreement with the Japan based label Spiritual Beast and their first album "Silent Symphony" was finally released in 2009. Their debut album received a very good response, with top reviews and Sergio being picked up as one of the "Brightest Hope Players" of 2009 in Japan's "Player" magazine among others. In the meantime, the band already started working on the sophomore album in the summer of 2009, with Fernando Asensi and Enrique Mompó as co-producers. In December, they participated in the Spanish leg of the "Tour Archangels In Black 2009" by the French neo-classical metallers ADAGIO.
In May 2010, the new album that has made a significant leap from the debut, their second album "Lotus" was released in Japan prior to the rest of the world. This album has confirmed Delirion as one of the bands to keep in mind in the power metal scene and has set the way to follow in the band's personal songwriting. After the success in Japan, The band have signed a license agreement with the German label Limb Music and the second studio album "Lotus" will be released in Europe in 2012.
