Dee Green

Dee Green (November 16, 1916 – April 24, 1985) was an American actress who primarily worked with the Three Stooges.

Green was well known as the rather unattractive, tall woman who ended up getting coupled with Shemp Howard. She is perhaps best know as Shemp's potential bride Miss Fanny Dinkelmeyer in the Three Stooges short Brideless Groom, where Emil Sitka appears as the justice of the peace attempting to marry her and Shemp, and says "Hold hands, you lovebirds!"

"Mrs. Green", as she was known to her music students, taught music and chorus classes at Peoria Heights Grade school in Peoria Heights, Illinois in the 1960s. Through the late 70s and early 80s, Green taught Language Arts and Drama at Rockford Alternative Middle School. She was responsible for more than one student pursuing a career in theater, some of which performed on Broadway in New York. At a time when music and art were a part of every student's core curriculum, Green had a measurable impact on students appreciation for the arts and music and drama. She produced annual events including Babes in Toyland and Christmas pagents that included every student in the school.

Green died on April 24, 1985.
