Debra Wexler

Debra Wexler is an American entrepeneur. She is the current CEO of Whiteflash.com, an online diamond boutique.

Education and Personal Life

Debra Wexler was born on September 10, 1958 in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, to a Jewish family. She received a degree in Slavic Linguistics from Michigan State University and a graduate degree in Japanese from Cornell University. She currently lives in Houston, Texas with her husband and six children.

Microcomputer Power

In 1982, Wexler founded Microcomputer Power, which provided network integration services and personal computer systems and had offices in Houston, Seattle, St. Louis, Dallas and Washington D.C. Wexler started the company with $5,000 in 1982; in 1988, sales reached $31 million. In 1989, Wexler was named Entrepeneur of the Year by Ernst & Young Magazine. Wexler sold MicroComputer Power to General Electric in 1995. Under GE Capital, Wexler was responsible for growing her sales area to $120 million before she retired from position as Regional Vice President.

Whiteflash

In 2000,Wexler founded and financed Whiteflash.com, a boutique online diamond retailer. Whiteflash markets a signature line of diamonds called A Cut Above, a brand that is noted for its "superideal" cut. Whiteflash also carries Hearts and Arrows diamonds. In 2008, Kiplinger Magazine called Whiteflash the "lord of the online rings" for its expertise with custom design work. In 2006, Whiteflash was invited to attend a Peace Jam Session at the University of Colorado--a landmark meeting which for the first time in history included 12 Nobel Peace prize winners in one gathering. There at this session, Whiteflash announced their alliance to partner with Betty Williams, nobel peace price laureate, and World Centers of Compassion for Children Internationall (WCCCI) to create two lines of jewelry that would benefit victims of the conflict diamond trade: The Dreams of Africa and AWEAR lines. 25% of profits of these lines benefit children who have been affected by the conflict diamond trade. In addition, all of Whiteflash's diamonds are sourced according to the Kimberly Process Certification Scheme.
