Days of the New Presents Tree Colors

Days of the New Presents: Tree Colors'' (also known as thePurple'' album) is the fourth album by world music rock band Days of the New. It is slated for release in early 2009.

After touring for "Red", the band went on hiatus, parted ways with Interscope Records, and Meeks suffered from an addiction to amphetamines. In September 2005, Meeks declared sobriety, and started writing for a fourth record. In 2006, Meeks began a successful solo tour, and eventually, collaborated with other musicians, touring throughout much of 2007 and 2008.

The album is said to have a very theatrical sound, with the incorporation of upright bass and cello, while still maintaining the acoustic and percussive leanings of the previous albums. Some of the songs slated for the record include "Superhero", "Touch Of Anger", "One Foot Ahead", "Sanctuary", and "Where It Ends".
