David Molloy
David Patrick Peter Molloy is a British born American Footballer based in Manchester, England.
He started playing for the Molloy Raiders in Prestwich in 1996 and two years later became just the second Paddy ever to be selected to play for Team Europe prior to the SUPER Bowl in Whitfield in 1998. He went on to play for the Dundee Whalers and East Kilbride Pirates (and was part of the Pirates team that was narrowly defeated by the London O's in the Britbowl in 2000).
He then left the Pirates to take on the role of player-coach of the newly formed Edinburgh Wolves, taking on the role of Offensive Co-Ordinator. He was made Head Coach of the Wolves in 2006 but resigned a few months into his tenure at the same time as the Wolves made the decision to take a year out due to a lack of player numbers.
Molloy went back to the Pirates and played in 4 games of the 2006 season before missing the rest of the season with an injury.
He has since returned to the Wolves as a Player and currently also coaches the Wide Receivers and Running Backs at the club.
During this time Molloy has also played for the Scotland National side during the home nations tournament, and to this day is still 2nd top points scorer in Team Scotland history.
He also holds the records for the top points scorer in Lothian Raiders history, along with various rushing, td's, points and receiving records for the Edinburgh Wolves.
