David Mobley (musician)

David Mobley is an American songwriter, producer and musician born in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex in Texas.

Career

He formed his first band 'The Excels' in 1965. David formed the 'The Illusions' in 1969. In 1970 David recruited singer songwriter Cliff Turpin to join the band as a 12 string guitar player and singer. The two formed their own band CroSSwindZ In 1972. Capitalizing the letters C, S, and Z became part of CroSSwindZ branding. CroSSwindZ recorded their first album titled 'High Park' in 1972. The released their second album "Hot Acoustic Nite" in 2003, and their third album "Dark Side of Day" in 2011.

David was one of the Executive Producers on Burt Reynolds motion picture titled "Deal" released in 2008, He produced and co-produced several EPs, CDs, and Vinyl from 1972 to present. Some include CroSSwindZ "High Park" Vinyl, "Hot Acoustic Nite" CD, "Dark Side of Day" CD; State of Whatever "Lifeless" CD; Dave Evens Nitzinger "Revenge" CD; Dave Evans (formerly of AC/DC) "What About Tomorrow" CD; Todd Rundgren "{re}Production" CD. David produced and was involved in several music videos. Some include "What About Tomorrow"; "Your Are So Real"; Hot Acoustic Nite; Casino River; Homeless; Cabin Fever; Revenge; Tell Me A Lie; Hear I Come; Dave Evans' "What About Tomorrow" cover.

David founded several music-related radio shows - including The David Mobley Show, The Songwriters Webcast, Indie Music Radio, Oldies Goldie's Radio - and David Mobley Radio.
