David Christien
David Christien (b. 1974 in Ashton-under-Lyne) is an actor and singer.
He started his performing under the watch full eye of David Johnson when he attended Oldham Theatre Workshop between 1980 and 1986 where he trained along side the likes of Anna Friel, Suranne Jones, Anthony Cotton and Lisa Riley to name a few.
His television credits include “Hollyoaks moving on” when he played Mark (Ruths Physio Therapist) ”Hollyoaks”, “Brookside”, many characters over the years, “The Young Sherlock Holmes” Directed by Barry Lavinson, “Emmerdale”, “Coronation Street” and various ITV Dramas. In 2008 he went back home and appeared many times on “Channel M” in Manchester as “Celebrity Guru” and interviewed Celebrities at events and appeared on the Breakfast Show.
His theatre credits include “The Fantastics” and “Happy as a sandbag” at the Gaiety Theatre IOM Directed by Brian Howard and performing alongside his friend Suranne Jones and in theatre in education plays with Jeff Longmore between 2006 and 2007
He has released singles under the name of Christien “You’re My Favourite Waste Of Time” “Could It Be I’m falling in love” “For Tom” and “Playing Hard To Get” His Music career brought him to support Atomic Kitten and Blue on tour as well as Heather Small, TinTin Out, and the legand Lionel Richie to name a few. His releases in the UK were followed by releases in Germany and The Netherlands. He has appearing on hundreds of radio roadshows throughout the UK and Channel Islands and has been interviewed by hundreds television, radio, magazine and newspaper journalists over the years.
