David and Philippe Blond

David and Phillipe Blond (also known as The Blonds) are American fashion designers based out of New York City. The Blonds have designed clothes for celebrities such as Britney Spears, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Lady GaGa, Fergie, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, and Christina Aguilera.

They launched their label around 2004. Phillipe Blond started his design career as M.A.C. make-up artist, while David was a window dresser for stores such as Macy's in New York and Saks Fifth Avenue in Bal Harbour, Florida. Now, The Blonds are famous for their corsets, which are handmade.

True to their name, The Blonds' typically style their models in platinum blond wigs for runway shows.

The two finalists from Canada's Next Top Model, Cycle 3, Meaghan DeWarrenne-Waller (winner) and Linsay Willier, walked the runway at a David and Phillipe Blond fashion show for the final competition. Neither model wore the standard blond wig for the show.

Personal life

Their real names are David Trujillo and Phillipe Rolano. David and Phillipe Blond have been a couple since the early 2000s Phillipe serves as the fashion muse, and thus embodies the "Blond" persona at events and social functions. However, he lives as a gay male and does not identify as being female. He was born in Puerto Rico and raised in New York. David is from Key West, Florida.
