Danielle Solzman
Danielle Solzman (born October 12, 1984) is an American screenwriter and film critic. As a transgender woman in the film industry, she is an outspoken advocate for increased diversity and representation in cinema. She is a member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association, Galeca: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics, the Alliance of Women Film Journalists, Online Film Critics Society, and the Online Film & Television Association.

Solzman was born in Louisville, KY.
Watching the Star Wars franchise and seeing Jurassic Park in theaters in 1993 inspired her to pursue a career as a filmmaker. In summer 2020, Solzman wrote, produced, directed, and starred in a short film, Pandemic Therapy. While she has yet to break through as a filmmaker, Solzman has made some leeway as an author. As a film critic, Danielle is an outspoken advocate for transgender rights and representation in the media; she came out as transgender in late 2015.
Solzman is a Rotten Tomatoes approved film critic, and writes about TV and film at Solzy at the Movies. She has previously written for Redbird Rants, Wildcat Blue Nation, and Hidden Remote/Flicksided.

Danielle is an Orthodox Jewish transgender woman and lives in Chicago. In addition to film, she is a basketball lover. She roots for the St. Louis Cardinals, Kentucky Wildcats, and Boston Celtics.
