Danielle Cortes DeVito

Danielle Cortes DeVito, born 1974, is an American paramedic, public speaker, safety and wellness consultant, and health activist who focuses primarily on CPR, emergency and heart related issues. She is an NREMT paramedic, an American Heart Association's emergency cardiovascular care expert and CPR instructor, and the founder of CPR in Chicago (formerly Heart Savers and Educators).

Danielle was born in 1974. She is an alumna of Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School and Loyola University Medical Center; she majored in Health Professions and Related Clinical Sciences. an AED consultant, paramedic and firefighter,
Danielle is featured in AHA's documentary video on the 50th Anniversary of CPR.

;State of Illinois' "Heartsaver Hero" 2007
Danielle was one of the 35 citizens of Illinois who were honored as Heartsaver Heroes in February 2007 for their efforts "to make life-saving Automated External Defibrillators as common as fire extinguishers in Illinois". In a press release, the State of Illinois said that "as president of Heart Savers & Educators Inc., an American heart association training center, Danielle Cortes placed an AED in the First Congregational Church of LaGrange last year".
Her husband, Marco DeVito was one of the honorees.
;Chicago Sky and Bank of America's "Woman of Inspiration" 2008
Danielle was the fourth woman to be honored by Chicago Sky and Bank of America as a Woman of Inspiration in July 2008 for her commitment—outside her 24 hours shift as Chicago Fire Department paramedic—to teaching "CPR and first aid in her community as well as volunteer as an American Heart Association Stroke Ambassador where she speaks and motivates African Americans on the campaign, "The Power to End Stroke".

Danielle was honored by American Heart Association's as a Woman of Heart at a Go Red for Women luncheon in February 2011.
