D. Scott Peterson

Scott Peterson is a Canadian journalist. He has worked as the Morning Business Anchor with Global News(CIII-TV) and as a general reporter with Canada's financial news network, Business News Network.

Peterson has broadcast from numerous places across Canada, both as a reporter and correspondent reporting live on events including the 2005 London Subway Bombings and the European financial panic that followed. He also broadcast live from the 2008 Detroit Auto Show, and filed numerous reports during the Financial Crisis of 2007-2009.

Peterson has also produced packages on the lighter side of news with BNN's hit series The Good Life. Peterson graduated from Queen's University in Kingston Ontario with an undergraduate degree, and a graduate journalism degree from Ryerson University.

Before becoming a broadcaster, Peterson spent over a decade in the Canadian investment industry, starting as a clerk with Wood Gundy, rising to an Equities/Derivative trader with TD Waterhouse. Peterson is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute. He joined Business Watch Canada as a markets reporter in September 2009.
