Crittersol

Crittersol is the brand name for the proprietary liquid polymer clay from Clay Critters. Its basis is a polyvinyl chloride plastisol formulated specifically for Clay Critters. The "slip" is typically poured into molds and fused at moderate temperatures to create decorate products such as souvenir refrigerator magnets, ornaments, key chains, and wall decor.

Crittersol contains a plasticizer to make it liquid, as well as making the final product flexible. The plasticizer used in Crittersol is medical grade. Crittersol does not contain any lead or heavy metal pigments. The pigments used are either food grade, or non-toxic.

Products made from Crittersol by Clay Critters are post-processed by hand painting, hand airbrushing, and various decorative methods including the addition of Swarovski crystals.

Clay Critter started operations in 1981 in Tippecanoe County, Indiana, USA, and began using Crittersol as its major raw material in 1986.
