Craig McGill
Craig McGill is a writer, journalist and media analyst. He has written three books which have been translated into foreign languages, Football Inc: How Football Fans are Losing the Game, Do No Harm: Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy and Human Traffic: [...], Slaves and Immigration. He is currently working on an authorised biography of Grant Morrison.
He has attracted controversy by stating Munchausen syndrome by Proxy is an advanced and poorly recognised form of depression and attracted controversy of calling for the UK government to legalise people smuggling to take it out of the hands of criminals.
He was voted AllMediaScotland.com Media Personality of the Year, beating off editors from newspapers like The Herald and The Daily Record.
He has written for TIME magazine and most, if not all, of the UK's main publications, including The Guardian and The Sunday Times. His eclectic career in UK journalism saw him break scoops ranging from scoops revealing gangsters selling a hitlist called 'Know the Provo' in Scottish pubs and David Tennant being The New Doctor Who and before he moved into PR he was Deputy News Editor for the Scottish Daily Mirror.
He was educated at St Timothy's and St Andrews in Glasgow and Napier University, Edinburgh, where he was editor of the student newspaper Veritas, following in the footsteps of founding editor Neil McIntosh.
