The Courtyard by Marriott Chennai is a midscale (four-star) hotel located on Anna Salai (Mount Road), Chennai, India. This hotel is the renovated form of the erstwhile Hotel Srilekha Intercontinental which was shut down due to financial mismanagement in 2002.

History

The hotel was originally a 84-room three-star property owned by Hotel Srilekha Intercontinental. In 2002, K. Rahejas Corporation bought the property for AbOUT 600 million and started renovation from 2003.

The hotel

Courtyard by Marriott Chennai belongs to the Marriott Group. It is the first Courtyard by Marriott hotel, the business-class brand of Marriott International Hotel, in India.

The hotel has 238 rooms, including 231 rooms and 5 suites. It also has seven meeting rooms and 2,842 sq ft of total meeting space, which can accommodate up to 200 people. A CoFFEE shop to seat 108, a signature resto bar, an health club and executive lounge, besides a 24-hour operational gymnasium and business centre form part of the hotel's property package.
