Cosmos Aviation

CoSMoS Aviation (formerly known as Lankan Cargo, Aero Lanka and Serendib Express) is an airline based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It was established in 2002 and operates domestic services between Jaffna and Colombo. It plans international cargo operations to the Middle East and Europe.

History

In 2005 Aero Lanka applied to the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka to operate services to the following destinations: Dubai, Malé, Rome, Singapore, Tiruchirapalli and Thiruvananthapuram, using Airbus A300 aircraft.

As of July 2010, the company has applied to CAA of Sri Lanka to renew its AOC and resume international cargo operations under the name Lankan Cargo.

International services are operated on behalf of SriLankan Airlines cargo to Chennai, Bangalore and Thiruvanathapuram in India.

It plans international cargo operations to the Middle East and Europe.

In 2011 Aero Lanka recruited pilots for B727 for $38000, Still awaiting for AOC.
