Congress of new Belarusian Diaspora of Europe and the USA
The congress is an international union of people based on principals of pluralism, professionalism as well as innovative way of thinking coupled with the aspiration for concrete actions. The new generation of Belarusian diaspora from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden, Denmark, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, France, USA as well as Belarusian students of EHU (European Humanitarian University), students involved in educational programs for Belarusians in Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Sweden participate in the work of Congress. This is a net which is bringing together the representatives of new generation Belarusians within the Diaspora and in Belarus. It deals with lobbing of Belarusian interests in foreign states, support of native culture and language, consolidation of young generation of Belarusians, informational and educational projects. History: The first Congress was held in Tallinn(Estonia) in March 2008. Second Congress was held in Strasburg (France) in April 2009. In between the two events in Tallinn and Strasburg working groups of the Congress have carried out a number of cultural, educational, and informational projects. Among them art and photography exhibitions of Belarusian people of art in Europe and United States, Belarusian clubs in Estonia, the installation of memory placard on the former Embassy of BPR (Belarusian Peoples Republic) in Tallinn.
