Concave football boot

Concave Holdings Ltd is based in Toronto, Canada. The company was founded in 2007 after acquiring Imagine Sports Property Ltd of Australia. The Australian firm had been trialling a revolutionary new kind of football boot and Concave bought in to their development.

Research and development was carried out for 8 years, mainly in Australia, and as of August 2008, the new Concave Football Boot will be on general sale.

The Concave design increases the 'sweet spot' (the area of the boot that makes contact with the ball) by over 400% as opposed to a standard football boot. Independent testing has shown the boot produces 15% increased power and 30% improved accuracy.

The boot is being backed by former Scottish International striker and Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish who first became aware of the boot's potential whilst managing Blackburn Rovers.

Concave liken their revolutionary new boot to the advent of the Callaway Big Bertha golf club of the large head Prince tennis racket. Concave also designed this new boot to protect the metatarsal bones. The upper of the boot contains a flexible layer of TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) and reinforced cushioning foam composite ‘MetaGuard’.

The company is now actively pursuing major Premier League stars to endorse the boot.
