Coasin
COASIN Chile is a Chilean information technology services and solutions company. It provides system integration, managed services, software development, software testing, communication technology and outsourcing. COASIN holds ISO 9001:2000 certification since 2005 and has over 20 offices located throughout Chile, revenues of over USD 50 million and more than 900 employees.
History
- 1966 COASIN Chile was founded. Its main focus was to provide industrial and scientific tools.
- 1970’s COASIN transforms itself into an information technology company.
- 1980’s COASIN enters the telecommunication market with modems and installing packed networks. COASIN also starts opening branch offices in Chile.
- 1990’s COASIN focuses on digital networks.
- 1996 COASIN is acquired by NewBridge Networks and begins its internationalization process.
- 2000 Alcatel acquires NewBridge Networks.
- 2002 Original COASIN’s owners buy back the company from Alcatel and start focusing on services.
- 2004 COASIN achieves ISO9001-2000 certification and supported by a Network Operations Center, COASIN Chile starts providing network infrastructure, logistics, applications and external services monitoring.
- 2007 COASIN opens a Software development and Testing Facility focused on Offshoring services. COASIN software factory takes advantage of technologies such as Java (J2EE), SOA, .NET, XML and Web Services.
- 2008 COASIN spins off its mining division and creates a new company C2 which caters towards providing solutions for the mining industry.
