CNN Bias against Israel
CNN has been accused of bias reporting against Israel particularly AbOUT the Israel/Palestinian conflict. CNN denies the allegations and some pro Palestinian groups accuse CNN of bias against Palestinians.
History
Since the Clinton era, CNN was reporting bias against Israel.
One sided headlines
One website sites examples of a series of a few weeks of headlines citing Israel attacking Hamas but during that time period there was not one headline about Hamas attacking Israel.
Calling Israelis "scum"
One reporter called Israelis "scum" in a tweet after cheering a rocket that fell into Gaza. The reporter was removed reassigned to Russia.
Gaza Conflict
During the 2014 Israeli/Hamas war in Gaza, Israel’s U.S. Ambassador appeared on a live CNN show, and began accusing CNN of one sided reporting. He accused them that during his 2 hour viewing of gruesome images of Palestinian casualties from an Israeli attack on a school in Gaza, CNN has not once mentioned missiles have been found in UNRWA schools, and that the "Secretary General of the United Nations yesterday warned against the use of UN schools and shelter for rocket missile depots of Hamas". During the live confrontation CNN did not respond. However at a later time CNN said that they asked the ambassador to come back to clarify his comments but he refused to come back. CNN then played video of them mentioning rockets in UN schools.
A few days later during another live interview, Ben Shapiro also condemned CNN for the biased reporting and not mentioning the restrictions that Hamas puts on CNN reporters in the Gaza strip.
Protests and Petition on CNN's one sided coverage
In 2013 there was a petition on Change.org with 100 signatures for CNN to "Stop the Anti- Israel Bias" citing examples of distorted reporting.
During the 2014 Gaza conflict Hundreds of protestors came to the Time Warner Center where CNN is housed. The protest was against CNN and other media outlets (including NYT) for anti Israel media bias, ignoring the Israeli side of the conflict and reporting deceitful stories that favor the Palestinian side.
In an interview with TMZ, Joan Rivers Slams CNN and BBC for their Biased coverage against Israel.
CNN Pro Israel
On the other hand protesters at an anti Israel rally, protested in front of CNN offices against the agency's “biased coverage” of the war on Gaza, and later continued on to Fox news.
