CleanMax Solar
CleanMax Solar is a rooftop solar power development company based in Mumbai. CleanMax Solar is the provider of on-site solar power in India with more than 250 projects totaling 145 MW.
History
CleanMax Solar was established in 2011 by Kuldeep Jain in Mumbai.
Funding
CleanMax signed an agreement with Hitachi high technologies and Aligarh Muslim University to set up solar power in 2017. Warburg Pincus, an American private equity firm, invests $100 million in CleanMax Solar in 2017. The company also setup solar power for Chennai Metro to provide 6 MW of electricity.
The company signed an agreement with BMRCL to set up solar installations on Namma Metro in 2016. CleanMax recently completed Solar commissions 1.5 MW rooftop solar project at Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi.
In 2017 the International Finance Corporation (IFC) made an equity investment of USD 15 million in CleanMax Solar.
