Citizens Rights Watch
Citizens Rights Watch (CRW) is a non-profit global organization promoting internationally recognized human rights. As a non-governmental organization, the group's published aim is to assist spontaneous collective political and social action leading to improvement of life quality and the end of injustice and abuse. The organization has 520,116 members, 194 of whom identify as activists according to its website. New members join via the website. Citizens Rights Watch, or "The Citizens," was incorporated in London under UK law with incorporation number 9162648 of 2014, with headquarters in London.
CRW publishes news stories AbOUT parts of the world where human rights abuses are being questioned or fought. The organization has also issued in-depth reports on the state of human rights in Romania, Uruguay, Honduras, Algeria, North Korea, Kuwait, and Singapore. CRW's website features a "happiness" indicator which measures quality of life in various countries by allowing individuals to fill out a questionnaire. The questionnaire asks about the quality of education, job opportunity, housing, protection of human dignity, and health care.
Citizens Rights Watch was founded by a number of human rights specialists, lawyers, businessmen, and academics, led by Dr. Zoi Aliozi, human rights specialist and lawyer who is the CRW Secretary General, and CRW Trustees Council members formed of Dr. Roger Cook, Dr. Sudha Menon, Mr. Miguel Rodriguez, Mr. Stefan Teodosic, Mr. Ahmed Jumaa Alhosani, Ms. Athanasia Zagorianou. In addition to CRW Researchers team, Ms. Lynn Hamilton, Mr. Eric Helms, Ms. Helen Mitchell, Mr. Garib Darwish, Ms. Brittany Renken, Mr. Andres Felipe, Mr. Jim Taylor.
