Church of Christian Mysticism

The Church of Christian Mysticism is an international nondenominational Christian Church, with headquarters in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is a church made up of Christians from Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox traditions who believe in Christian Mysticism.

Name

The precise legal name of this body is The Church of Christian Mysticism, Inc.. The Church of Christian Mysticism operates a the School of Christian Mysticism, which was created to teach people Christian Mysticism. The church was incorporated as a nonprofit corporation in the state of New Mexico on July 24, 2007.

History

The Church was founded by Jay N. Forrest, who has been a Christian minister for over 20 years. Rev. Forrest claims to have had a dream on July 7, 2007 in which he saw the church and was lead to start it.

Theology

Theologically, the Church of Christian Mysticism hold very basic Christian beliefs, requiring nothing more of its members than a belief in the Apostle's Creed. The founder, however, appears to come from a Pentecostal background.

Mission

The website states that the church's mission is "to bring together Christians from all denominational backgrounds, and build a family of believers who are passionately pursuing God's presence, and who connect online for mutual fellowship, encouragement, instruction, and guidance in the pursuit of God."1
