Christina Peiris

Christina Peiris (born 29 January 1994) is a Sri Lankan fashion designer, travel blogger, brand ambassador and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned as Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2017 and represented Sri Lanka at Miss Universe 2017 pageant where she placed among the Top 16 thus making the best placement of Sri Lanka after Maureen Hingert bagged the 2nd runner-up placement in 1955.

Career

Christina runs a humanitarian clothing brand where she donates a part of her earnings to cancer patients. She also managers her own travel blog and photography to promote tourism in her county and around the world. She was a brand ambassador for a local company who she modeled for. Christina is not a model in Sri Lanka and does not aspire to be unless it's done by being a brand ambassador.

Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2017

Christina was crowned Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2017 by outgoing title holder Jayathi De Silva at HILTON Colombo.

Christina represented Sri Lanka at Miss Universe 2017 pageant in Las Vegas where she was placed in the Top 16 finalist and top 4 in the Asian and African region thus making the first ever Miss Sri Lanka to place in Miss Universe in the 21st century.
