Chris Brooks (radio presenter)

Chris Brooks was 15 when he started Hospital Radio in Eastbourne. Since then Chris has worked for many stations in the UK, including Chiltern FM, Northants 96, Horizon Radio, Metro Radio, Galaxy 101, Kix 96, Essex FM (where he presented a show with former 5ive member Scott Robinson) and the GWR Network.

Chris has now realised his childhood ambition to work at Capital FM. Chris currently presents the weekday afternoon show (1pm-4pm) on the rebranded Capital 95.8. In January 2008 he was given a new weekend show (Saturday 6-10am) in place of Craig Doyle who had left. He has now gone back to Saturday afternoons

In 2006 he launched the interactive radio quiz show 'Cash Call' which aired on the GCAP network.

Chris still sees Scott, and the two of them remain close friends.

He lives in Wickford, Essex with his wife Karen, and has three children, Kirsty, Harry and Sam. He supports Watford Football Club (his company is named after Watford's Yellow shirts). He also shares his birthday with his wife.

Chris appeared in the first ever episode of poker chat show Heads Up with Richard Herring to discuss his career and his love of poker. He has also appeared on other poker related shows including Sky Poker.

From April 2008 Chris became the voice of Sky2.

In July 2008 he featured in the new book Holly's Inbox

In late 2008 Chris started the company yellow media. It is thought that it will involve managing radio presenters and a radio training school.
