Chiara Magni
Chiara Magni is an artist based in Italy, she's a Impressionism Fingerpainting. Her paintings have been sold internationally and are shown at solo and group exhibitions worldwide, she's one of fastest growing artist of our times
Early years
Born in 1988, Chiara began painting as a young girl learning Oil Painting, acrylics and watercolor. She was so into colours and art from very early age the first word she ever wrote was "blue". She began painting very early and her favourite artist has always been Claude Monet. In an interview Magni said at one point "Later growing up, something happened with Vincent Van Gogh" as she really felt his strength of emotions when looking at his works and is the only artist able to ignite such emotions in Chiara. She took Art Class in Italy.
Technique
Magni took the Fingerpaint style and specialised in it. This kind of style takes the paint right from the color tube and uses fingers to draw lines and shades applying the colour pure from the tube to the canvas, and without the use of any solvents to give a 3D and textured look to the painting. Her paintings are mostly done with the fingerpainting technique however she decided not to limit herself to a specific technique and sometimes she "uses other tools to create the exact optical effects that she intends to see on her paintings".
Subjects and Painting Inspirations
Magni takes her inspiration from her day to day life but mostly from Garda Lake surroundings, which she calls "a great source of inspiration". Because of Garda Lake's variety of landscapes and views, mixed with her vivid imagination, her paintings will be found to be very colourful and, sometimes, beyond reality.
Featuring and Shows
Magni's works has been displayed in some fine art galleries in Italy such as the Melograno in Livorno and La Maison d'Art in Padua where she won the "Best Year Artist award" and she sold her paintings all around the world.
