CHI CHI
CHI CHI (치치) is a seven-member South Korean girl group under Korean music label Yedang Entertainment. The group's name is an acronym for “Creative electronic House Idols" which represents their overall music style. The group made their official public debut on March 2011 with their single "장난치지마" ("Don't Play Around").
History
Debut
Before their official debut, CHI CHI held a showcase for the official release of “Don’t Play Around” on March 18 in which they performed in front of news reporters as well as partaking in their first press conference MC'd by actress and label-mate Hong Soo Ah. The group's MV was released on March 17, 2011 co-staring actor Lee Jong Suk of Secret Garden (TV series). CHI CHI also made their television debut on SBS's Inkigayo on March 20, 2011.
Later into their debut, the members begin receiving several requests from producers to appear on variety shows. They have also been featured in the wildly popular dance game "Audition Online".
Comeback in May
CHI CHI revealed in an interview for plans to return with a new single in May.
