Cherussery Muhammad Musliyar Musliyar

Cherussery Muhammad Musliyar Musliyar Arabic: جرشاري محمد مسليار is a reputed scholar hailing from Kerala. He is known to be a great scholar, and has made contributions to hundreds of prodigies in the Sunni horizon of Kerala as well as the Baralvi movement in India.

Early life

Cherussery Muhammad Musliyar was the son of Cherussery Zainudden Musliyar from his wife of Kondotty. He reputed in the pages of scholars. There is no account to show the exact date of his birthday.

Education

He fetched his elementary education from Cherussery Ahmed Kutty Musliyar in Vazakkad. He had many famous close friends like Kutubi Muhammad Musliyar and Kanniyath Ahmed Musliyar.

Teaching service

Muhammad Musliyar lectured in two dars and successfully brought many changes during his tenure. He entered in dars field after education in Vazhakkad Darul Uloom. After his service in Cheruvannor of Faroke, he went to Kondotty Kaziyarakam Masjid for another service. He had many students from Kondotty and another place. In some time only kondotty‘s people became his student. He had taught in Kaziyarakam for fifty year. People were coming to Muhammad Musliyar to solve personal as well as family problem. In 1944, when the cholera spread across Kondotty, people consulted him then he suggested to bring black calf and to give people its meat. They did as he prescribed and cholera was eliminated from the soil. Inhabitants of Kaziyarakam build a library and he assisted them by affording them a huge collection of books.

Social intervention

Cherussery Muhammad Musliyar talks to people softly, so people like him very much. If people see his arrival, they will stand to pay respect. People gave his words due respects. Cherussery family served in Kondotty as service court to solve the all problems. He sits to hear the problem of his friends and people after the performing Namaz. He used to visits the grave of the mystic personalities after Subh Namaz. He always deals with the people in very soft way so to fetch their respect. He always kept his tempt in his control and never behaved the people in bad temper way. He played vital role in changes of Kondotty. Janatul Kullatul Islam, an Islamic organization promoting education -religious advance, was managed by him. He himself gave birth for new organization to promote the relief works in Kondotty. He provided the financial assistance for impoverished people.
