Life and career:

Cezar Stefan Habeanu was born on 13 January 1989 in Câmpulung Moldovenesc and has lived there until the age of 14. From early childhood, his parents wanted him to pursue a sports career, enrolling him to Karate classes at the age of 6. which he attended until his early teenage years. By then, he became very interested in playing football and he started training and playing for the local town’s team. When he was 14, he got transferred to the team FCM Bacau, in the city of Bacau.

At age 16 he first appeared on stage, singing at his junior prom, followed shortly by a participation at the Preuniversitaria song contest in Bacau along with other appearances at other high-school proms. He soon purchased his first guitar and started learning how to play it.

Two years later, Cezar gave up football and relocated to the city of Ploiesti, where he later joined his first band, called Good Point (alternative-rock), followed a year later by his second band, N.U.D.E. (hardcore-metal). In parallel to this, he started experimenting busking (street performing) in the city centre of Ploiesti.

After reaching 20 and with no real perspective for his music career in Romania, Cezar bought a one-way ticket to Amsterdam. He lived here for 3 and a half years, working at the beginning as a Rickshaw Taxi driver, later on to obtain a license from the Amsterdam City Council to enable him to busk. At the same time, Cezar has worked as a host for the open mic evening in cafe Candela on Mondays and hosting Wednesday’s Jam session in the famous Amsterdam rock bar, The Waterhole.

In early 2013, he moves to Dublin, Ireland, following an out right ban on amplified street performance by the Amsterdam City Council. He became a regular busker on Dublin’s Grafton Street, acquiring weekly and monthly residencies in various live music pubs and was two year in a row one of the headliners of the Vikings Festival in Dublin.

He then started traveling throughout Europe, performing on the streets of cities such as Milan, Bergamo, Rome, Berlin, Leipzig, Haarlem, Helsinki and traveling a few times a year to Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Satu Mare.

In April 2017, CeZar released his debut album “2005” with Universal Music, an 8 song LP from of which he released his first single, Fairytale.
