Cassidy Lang
Cassidy "Cassie" Jana Erin Lang (previously Browning; formerly Caleb and Esteem) is a fictional character on the ABC daytime drama Atlantic City portrayed by Georgina Collins since 1st episode (June 1st 2020). She's one of most important characters in the series, the daughter of beautiful Ray Sunrin and Greg Browning and middle sister of three twins, Mackenzie (oldest) and Phyllis (youngest). She has younger half-sister, Cameron and older half-brother, Ronn. As little child, exhausted of getting pregnant for the fourth time, Ray has given her with the help of friend, the father of current expecting baby, gynecologist, Luis MacLaine, infibulation hoping Cassie to be infertile. Beginning modeling career in the age of 15, she involved with her mother's friend, model agency owner, Max Orsaile who later gave her the company. She married her high school enemy and soul mate, Nicholas Esteem in Christmas Eve. 22/23 at traditional Hawaiian sunset beach ceremony, their wedding is recognized as the most romantic wedding ever. She also married accidentally met doctor, Mark Caleb, they divorced soon after and she married Nick again in Hawaii. Nick slept with her twin sister, Mackenzie so they divorced and Cassidy married much older respected MP, Stephen Lang. Georgina Collins desribes her character as most interesting at Browning family.
Background
Georgina Collins debuted as an actress at Atlantic City and after six months of broadcasting drama she was voted 'Best Atlantic City Actress'. The character of "Cassidy" was the most hated character--a spoiled, rebellious Lolita who tried to use voodoo and black magic to become fancy of everyone at school and fashion. Collins was considering resigning the role but eventually Wagner agreed to change character so people could like her. While, on the show character was 15, Georgina was 13 which was kind of shocking at soap opera world but Collins looked AbOUT 15.
Storylines
Twins, first love and modeling
In first episodes, Browning twins were very bonded however they quickly began arguing. Cassie and Mackenzie were always bonded then with Phyllis but suddenly Cassie became friend of Phyllis and she didn't have much time for Mackenzie. Mac felt rejected and she broke up friends with Cassie. Until graduation on Grade 9 Mac and Cassie were in conflicted but Phyllis also conflicted with Phyllis because she admitted she likes more and little to Mackenzie that she took advantage of Phyllis. Cassie reunited with Mac but she still was conflicted with Phyllis. Earlier, Phyllis and Cassie set vacation in London, UK together and decided to reunite in order to have nice holidays. Quarrels were quite in common between Cassie and her parents too especially between her and Ray. Nicholas Esteem was the class popular guy, not many people liked him because he wasn't nice to them but they were under his influence. When Nick said he was quitting school, everyone was very happy and the same day during the assembly he took Cassie gents' and they confessed love for one another. Inside, they loved each other all this time and being together changed to of them for better. Ray's friend, Max Orsaile offered her a job as model at his model agency, Bell Models, soon after he fell in love with her looking at her pictures. At first, they had very special chemistry and after Max confessed what he thinks of her they kissed. Cassie felt guilty so she confessed to Nick and he broke up with her. Mac and Nick made up A Plan - Nick got back with Cassie in order to cheat on her with Mac and then confess it to her to let her catch with Mac having [...]. Mac and Nick had crush on one another but Nick loved Cassie so he and Cassie had [...] together (both for the first time) and later Nick admitted feeling guilty he and Mac wanted revenge. Cassie couldn't forgive both of them but Mac implored Ray to take Nick on their family holidays in Taba, Egypt and there Cassie forgave both of them but it was known Mac loved Nick. The month before school began and Nick had to go to Springfield, New Jersey to boarding school, Nick and Cassie decided break up and for this month Cassie got involved in cougar relationships with Max. Due to Ray and Greg being very unhappy, Cassie became very rebellious and to get parents even more furious Cassie moved in with Max and set the engagement. Greg talked with attorney and finally Cassie got back home but still seeing Max. After Cassie found out Max actually has wife and broke connecting with him but she never gave up working at model agency. Through high school years, she dated rock musician, Josh Moore who Mac met while she tried to be rock singer. She later slept with model who had prostitute opinion in fashion business and she flirted with class handsome boy, Steve Levis and his friend, Jason Henstley.
Crazy Hawaiian wedding
While Cassie continued her very successful modeling career becoming much better than her biggest rival, H.P. Klein, she hasn't been in any serious relationship but then she got back with Nick. Nick knew that in soap opera "The Bold and the Beautiful" which Cassie watched because of her favorite actress Lesley-Anne Down, she married her boy-toy in traditional Hawaiian ceremony so he took her at New Year Eve. 2022/23 (at the year she was still underage) and he set the ceremony just like in "B&B" and they said "I do". For some years, they were happily married but then Max gave Cassie a company and Nick felt scared of loosing her so he wanted kids. Due to her infertility, Cassie was ready for adoption but then she realized she didn't desire it and she divorced Nick.
Doctor's accident
After separating from Nick, still loving him, Cassie was feeling really depressed and she accidentally met Dr. Mark Caleb on the street when she almost fainted. They became good friends and thought he knew she didn't love him, they got married. Their marriage didn't last very long and Cassie divorced doctor.
Again in Hawaii
Cassidy and Nick finally faced their feelings and they took private company jet and they went to get married in traditional Hawaiian ceremony again. Unfortunately, Nick spent night with Mac and she got pregnant. Though it later was explained that Nick isn't the father but Jason Henstley, Cassie divorced Nick and he hurt of it left Atlantic City. Nothing is explained about where he went but in Behind The Scenes book "Woman Who Gives And Takes. Nick Esteem's Love Story.", it's all explain that Nick was very hurt by Brownings and in Mexico he met girl he didn't love who died giving birth to their daughter, Bethany who he later raised alone. Mac's one night stand and Phyllis' problems with Ray eventually caused complete RUiN in Browning family.
Silver fox
Stephen Lang became Cassie's fancy when she quitted modeling to run model agency. She liked his self-esteem, dignity and respect people were giving him. Cassie seduced him and caused him the end on his wrong-going marriage to Kathleen. After divorce and Stephen's marriage to Cassidy, Kathleen wasn't able to raise their two daughter, younger Lauren and older Julie. Cassidy never liked kids but in this case also next side didn't her especially older one. Cassidy, Julie and Lauren never liked each other.
The night Ray died, Cassie and Stephen had hot [...] together.
Lately, family reunited due to Ray's death.
