Cassidy Early

Cassidy Early (born 1994) is an American painter, based in Chicago. Their paintings are focused on the queer body.

Biography

Cassidy Early was born in 1994 in Worcester, Massachusetts. They are Scottish American, trans, and non-binary. Early's interest in art began from drawing and pop culture influences including video games, the Dragon Ball Z television series, fantasy literature, and tabletop role-playing games.

They received a BFA degree in 2016, from Boston University College of Fine Arts; and graduated with an MFA degree in 2020, from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, in studio, painting, and drawing. Early was awarded the School of Art Institute of Chicago Dean's Scholarship from Ox-Bow School of Art and Artists Residency in 2019.
